Wendy Darlene Teela

Wendy D. Teela, 58, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield Wisconsin. She was born June 2, 1967, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Nancy (Ede) Teela.

Wendy graduated from Memorial High School in 1979. She had a great sense of humor and a love of animals and nature that defined much of how she spent her time.

Wendy had a deep love for the outdoors and a natural gift for gardening. Each year, she cultivated a large garden, producing an abundant and impressive variety of vegetables, especially her exceptional tomatoes. Her talent was evident in every season’s harvest. She also adored flowers and beautifully framed the edges of her garden with vibrant, multicolored zinnias. In addition to her passion for gardening, Wendy had a special place in her heart for animals. She treasured her beloved pets—Jack, Velvet, Sissy, JD, Jade and Jet—who were constant companions and brought her endless comfort and joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nancy and John Teela, her brother, Mark Teela, her grandparents, Isabel and Jess Teela and Norman and Hazel Ede, numerous aunts and uncles and her long-time partner, Sean Sprester.

A memorial gathering will be held Friday, June 12th from 11:00 – 1:00 at the East Pepin Cemetery Shelter in rural Mondovi, with burial to follow at the East Pepin Cemetery. The family is requesting any memorials to be given to the East Pepin Cemetery. Talbot Family Funeral Homes-Scenic Rivers Cremation Center assisted the family.
