Tony Huber

Anthony Chad Huber, age 41 of Alma, WI passed away on May 21, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. He was born on May 24, 1974 in Wabasha, MN, one of six sons born to Frank and Marian (Hartman) Huber. Tony attended Alma Area Schools, graduating with the class of 1993. After his graduation, Tony immediately joined the rest of his family on the Huber Farms in the Town of Alma. He took great pride in the farm and was the man that made sure the crops were planted in the spring and harvested in the fall. All that knewTony, knew to “just stay out of his New Holland tractor”. On January 4, 1997 Tony was united in marriage to Jennifer Taverna at St. John Lutheran Church in Alma. To this union, three children were born. Tony was a consummate practical joker. He always wanted to keep things light and didn’t want to see those around him sad. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the Green Bay Packers and was a loyal listener of the “K-Fan” radio station out of the Cities. Tony will be forever remembered by family and friends for his giving heart, caring soul and for being, well, just a wonderful supportive and loving man. Tony will be always in the hearts and forever missed by his wife of 18 years, Jennifer of Alma; his daughters, Tiffany (Phil) Huber of Milwaukee, Lindsey and Whitley both of Alma; his loving mom, Marian and his brothers, Tom (Sheila) of Alma, Jon (Karla) of Alma, Jim (Cindy) of Alma and Matt (Lazaro) of Hawaii; his father and mother in law, Steve and Linda Taverna; sister in laws, Lisa (Dave) and Katrina; brother in laws, Steve and Kris; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends, and his loyal companion, Buddy his yellow lab. Tony was preceded in death by his father Frank, and his brother David. A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Alma on Sunday May 31 at 2:00 PM until 5:00PM. His final place of rest will be at the Tell Cemetery in rural Alma. Talbot Family Funeral Homes of Alma assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.talbotfuneralhomes.com.
