Todd Lyman Loomis, age 55, of Durand, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully on Friday, November 4, 2022 while bow hunting, one of his favorite and passionate pastimes.
He was born on April 20, 1967 to Loren and Sharon (Anderson) Loomis. Todd was confirmed at Central Lutheran Church and attended Mondovi Schools, graduating with the Mondovi High School class of 1985.
On June 14, 2003, Todd married Kari Orne and together they truly enjoyed doing life together, whether it was a corvette ride, four wheeling or camping…life was always an adventure.
Todd was an avid snowmobiler and looked forward to his trips with his buddies from the Mondovi Snowmobile Club. In the summer, Todd would like to spend time on the water chasing the elusive Musky.
Together, Todd and Kari loved hosting exchange students and were passionate about mentoring children through the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program.
From cars, to fuels, to tankers, Todd spent his career in sales where he most recently worked for Seneca Tank of Des Moines, IA.
Todd will be deeply and forever missed by his loving wife, Kari and his faithful companion, Kota; brother Brad Loomis; sister Julie (Kenneth) Miller; sister in law, Cretia (Brent) Risler; brother in law, David Hewitt, mother and father in law Wilbur and Carole Orne; nieces and nephews, Jessica (Luke) Harder, Allen (Kimberly) Loomis, and Heidi Miller, Chanson (Cori) Risler and Jacey (Nate) Risler; also by great nieces and nephews and countless dear friends.
Todd was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Sharon.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Todd will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Central Lutheran Church in Mondovi with Interim Pastor, Carl Ames officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation and time to support Todd's family will be held on Thursday, November 10 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service, all at Central Lutheran Church.
