Teri Lyn Rumpel

Teri Lyn Rumpel, age 54, of Fountain City, Wisconsin, passed away on April 24th, 2026, at Gundersen Health Systems Hospital in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. 

Teri was born on July 24, 1971, in Winona, Minnesota, to Bill and Darlene Meyer. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tami Jo Meyer, and her grandparents Eugene and Margaret Meyer and Evelyn and Fred Strelow. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Chad Rumpel; her sons, Brandon (Melissa) Marin and Cody (Ellie) Rumpel of Fountain City, Wisconsin; her sister DeAnne Isakson (Jim) of Portage, Wisconsin; and her cherished granddaughters, Harper, Everly, Tatum and Valerie. She is also survived by her parents Bill and Darlene Meyer along with many aunts, uncles and cousins, and extended family members. 

Teri dedicated her life to her family and was especially devoted to her grandchildren, with whom she loved spending time. She found joy in the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and simply being in nature, as well as cooking for many.  Teri was also an organ donor, reflecting her generous and giving spirit. 

At Teri’s request, a private family service will be held, with burial at Buffalo City Cemetery. Talbot Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Teri will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, she was like a second mother to Natasha, Malaina, Mikey and Ally, and her kindness and presence touched many lives.
