Shirley Ilene Becker

Shirley Ilene (Miner) Becker, age 79 of Mondovi, WI passed Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the American Lutheran Home in Mondovi. Shirley was born April 20, 1934 to Amer and Jessie (Scott) Miner. She graduated from Durand High School. She married Clement Monroe Becker on March 20, 1954. Shirley and Clement farmed in rural Mondovi and raised a family of seven. Shirley and Clement were Charter members of Prince of Peace Covenant Church where she was a member of the board. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Clement. She is survived by her children Roger (Linda), Richard, Larry (Kathy), Jerry (Jane), Joe (Robin), Dana, Patti (Rick). Her grandchildren Shane (Jenny); Brent, Tracey (Scott); Kylea (Josh) Chelsie (Nathan), Eric, Allison, Nicole, Jacob, Mitchell, and Brianna. Great grandchildren Cole, Riley, Harper, Brooklyn, Bryce, and Nolan; Sister Beverly (Marv) Riemenschneider and brother Sonny (Mary) Miner. A memorial gathering will be held at Talbot Family Funeral Home in Mondovi on Thursday December 19 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be at Prince of Peace Covenant Church on Friday December 20 at 11:00 AM, with an hour of visitation prior. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church Cemetery.
