Sharon L.M. Rieck passed away on December 3, 2025 at Gunderson Hospital, LaCrosse, WI. She was born on April 22, 1942 to Raymond and Evelyn (Sieker) Ziegler in Arcadia, WI.
Sharon grew up in Bohris Valley, in Buffalo County, and she graduated from Cochrane Fountain City High School in 1959.
Sharon married Roger Rieck in September 20,1975. Sharon was the proud mother of Tracy, and she and Roger treasured their time as a small family. She loved Jeff Gordon #24 and the Green Bay Packers. Together, they attended many races and football games, always showing their dedication and support.
In later years, Sharon and Roger expanded their family trips to include her two cherished grandchildren, Taylor and Michael. These journeys to scenic and historical destinations created lasting memories for the family. Her beloved Roger passed away on December 26, 2020.
Sharon had many passions, including scrapbooking. She enjoyed both attending and hosting gatherings with local scrapbooking groups, where she formed close friendships. Her dearest friends also knew not to disturb her during her favorite show, NCIS. Professionally, Sharon spent most of her working years in Winona, MN, with positions at Winona Knitting Mills, WinCraft, and Watkins. However, it was her work at Kwik Trip in Alma, WI, that left a lasting mark in her community, where local folks took comfort in knowing that Sharon was behind the counter to assist them.
Sharon will be deeply missed by her daughter Tracy (Jim) Berthelson, and grandchildren, Taylor Nicole Berthelson and Michael Prescott Berthelson; brothers, Gary Ziegler, Clete Ziegler, Neil (Doreen) Ziegler, Rodney (Carrie) Ziegler along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and an abundance of friends.
