Shannon L. Livingston Mock

Shannon L. Livingston Mock, age 46, of the Town of Canton, Buffalo County, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Mayo Clinic, St. Mary's Campus in Rochester.

She was born on October 30,1976 in Durand, the daughter of  Marla McMahon and Duwayne Livingston.

Shannon attended Durand schools, graduating from Durand High School with the class of 1995.  Following graduation, Shannon attended Viterbo University in La Crosse.

Shannon was united in marriage to Brendan Mock on October 10,2012 at The Chapel of the Guardian Angels in Nelson. .

Shannon was the owner of Purely Poultry, Etc. in Durand.  She loved her birds, with peacocks being her favorite.  Shannon was very dedicated to business and had a deep desire to succeed.

Shannon will be remembered for her larger than life personality that could light up a room.  She had a compassionate heart and soul that would put her needs secondary to others.  This unselfish and giving personality was evident as she volunteered her time with the Salvation Army and their relief efforts in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

Shannon loved children and would do most anything to instill her own values of perseverance and success in them, especially her own children.

Shannon will be dearly missed by her husband, Brendan; children, Shawn (Taylor) Zabel, Zander Mock and Aubree Hudson; mother, Marla McMahon; father, Duwayne Livingston; siblings, Jeff (Jennifer) Bechel, Scott Livingston, Rebecca Livingston, Holly (Terry) Papenfus and Joseph (Christy) Livingston; brother in law, Curt (Tammie) Mock; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding Shannon in death were her sister, Gina Bechel and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel officiating.  A visitation will be held on Monday, August 28 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service all at the funeral home.
