Ruth Ann Wiech

Ruth Ann Wiech, 84, of Mondovi died Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Marshfield Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

She was born on August 16, 1941 the daughter of Oscar and Elva (Lewis) Stewart. She grew up in Bogus, (Stockholm) Wisconsin.

Ruth married Robert Wiech on January 15, 1960, and they spent their married life in Hager City, Wisconsin, where they raised their son, Robbie.

Ruth worked at Red Wing Shoe company for 29 years.

In 2017, she moved to Mondovi, WI, where she enjoyed painting – especially anything she could with green paint. She also loved wallpapering and decorating her home. Ruth took pride in her home and yard and lovingly cared for her cat, Leo.

She is survived by several siblings: Phyllis, Elvin, Carl, Clifford, Theresa, Victoria and Mark. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Elva (Lewis) Stewart; her husband, Robert; her son, Robbie; four brothers, Oscar Jr., Jack, Roger, and Ronald; and one sister, Rose.

A private committal service will be held at a later date at Trenton Cemetery, Hager City, WI.
