Rose M. Iverson

Rose M. Iverson, age 86, of Eau Claire, formerly of Eleva, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Beehive Homes in Eau Claire.

She was born and raised in Rib Lake, WI on May 8, 1937.  Rose attended and graduated from Rib Lake High School.  Following high school, Rose went to and graduated from cosmetology school.

As a young lady, Rose attended the Northern Wisconsin State Fair in Chippewa Falls and little did she know that she would meet her future husband from rural Eleva, Raymond Iverson.  Rose and Raymond were united in marriage in Rib Lake on October 19, 1957. To this loving union, four children were born.  Together, Rose and Raymond farmed and raised their family on the Iverson family homestead farm in rural Eleva. 

Rose worked at the Buffalo Medical Center in Mondovi for several years.  She also worked at other various businesses .

Rose was a faithful member of Trinity of Norden Lutheran Church, where she offered herself as a Sunday school teacher, the Ladies Aid and quilters group. 

Rose loved music, especially country music.  Some of her favorite moments were attending live country fests, most notably, Fan Fair in Nashville and Country Jam in Eau Claire.

Rose was a loving and caring wife, mom and grandma.  She especially enjoyed doing what most grandmas do, spoil their grandchildren.

Rose will be sadly missed by her husband, Raymond; children, Carlene (John) Bruha of Eau Claire, Doug Iverson ( significant other, Pam Rud) of Eleva, Denise (Carl) Genrich of Osseo and Steve (Christine) Iverson of St. Louis Park, MN; grandchildren, Eric Iverson and Andy (Britni) Iverson; Zach (Katie) Genrich and Benjamin Genrich; Amber Genrich (significant other, Alex Moldenhauer); Jacob and Kallen Iverson; 7 great grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her foster parents that she thought of as her own and her sister and brother in law June and Eugene Cummings.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Trinity of Norden Lutheran Church with Pastor Luke Pederson officiating.  Inurnment will immediately follow at the church cemetery.  A memorial gathering will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the hour of the service. 

The family of Rose would like to take this opportunity to send a heartfelt thank you to St. Croix Hospice for the exceptional care given to her while under their care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in the name of Rose M. Iverson to either the Alzheimer’s Association or Trinity of Norden Lutheran Church.
