Robert Charles Anderson

Robert “Rob” Anderson passed away peacefully at his home on August 4, 2026.

Rob was born on May 1, 1978 in Rochester, Minnesota to Denise (Anderson) Bechly.He graduated from Cochrane-Fountain City High School with the class of 1996. Immediately following graduation, Rob joined the Army and served his country as a Motor Transport Specialist at Fort Carson, Colorado. Continuing his love for driving, Rob stayed in Colorado and drove truck for CR England Inc. 

In 1998, he married Angie Percell, and they later relocated to Buffalo City, Wisconsin with their son, Cole. Although they later divorced, Rob continued his passion for driving, working for Conway and Fed-Ex. He was a skilled driver and was very proud of his participation in truck rodeos.

Music dwelled deep in Rob’s soul. He was a talented musician who loved playing his guitars and singing. He also spent time enjoying the simple things in life, like gardening, canning tomatoes and sauerkraut, sitting around a good fire and spending time with family and good friends.  

Rob loved being on the Mississippi River. In 2023, Rob decided to continue his education at the Great Lakes Boat Building School in the Marine Service Technology program where he followed and fulfilled his dream of becoming a boat mechanic. 

Rob will be missed by his Son, Cole Anderson; his Mother, Denise (Roger) Bechly; his Sisters, Kristina (Andrew) Prew and Anna (Matthew) Hart; his Nephew, Trent Prew; his Nieces, Maddison Prew and Tamzyn Hart; and his special friend, Lorna Mudgett.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard and Rose Mary Anderson.

A Memorial Visitation for Rob will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel. A private internment will be held at a later date.
