Randy C Whippple

Randy C. Whipple, age 66, of Mondovi, WI, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 26, 2026. Randy was born on September 12, 1960, to Charles Whipple and Laurel (Johnson) Whipple. He graduated from Durand High School in 1979. Randy was a hard worker who dedicated many years to his community. Early in his career, he served as a custodian for the Pepin Area Schools and maintained the grounds for local banks in Alma and Cochrane. He lived in Cochrane, WI, for over two decades while working at La Crosse Milling Co. and lastly at Cochrane Lumber. An outdoor enthusiast, Randy enjoyed riding his bicycle and taking in the beauty of the outdoors. He had a passion for tinkering with old cars and loved spending weekends at local speedways watching auto races. Above all, Randy was known for his kind and generous heart—he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, regardless of his own circumstances. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Randy is survived by his siblings: brothers Scott Whipple of Farmington, MN, and Rodney Whipple of Mondovi, WI; and sisters Tammie Johnson of Eau Claire, WI, and Faith Daniel of Arcadia, WI; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurel (Johnson) Whipple and Charles Whipple, and his oldest brother, Ricky Whipple. A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion in Alma, WI, on Friday October 16 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
