Petra M. Peterson

Petra Mae Peterson, age 93, of Mondovi, died peacefully on October 26, 2021 at American Lutheran Communities in Mondovi under the care of St. Croix Hospice. Petra was born on May 23, 1928 to the late Peter and Mae (Halberg) Peterson of Mondovi. Petra enjoyed music and playing trumpet in the High School Band. Petra graduated from Mondovi High School. After graduating she worked at the Telephone Company in Glendale, CA. She was proud of her Norwegian heritage. She was a lifetime resident of Mondovi. She was a member of the Central Lutheran Church of Mondovi. Petra`s hobbies were photography, bowling, drawing and watching sports. Her favorites were Brewers, Badgers, and Green Bay Packers. She always walked to her local restaurants to get burgers and fries. Petra was a loving daughter, sister, Aunt and friend and was a breast cancer Survivor. She is survived by Brother Harry (Buzz) Parkhurst of Hot Springs, SD, Cousin Jackie Bunch of CA. Niece Sandy Patrow (Steve), of Elk Mound and Nephews Rick Olson (Diane) of Hot Springs Village, AR, Steve Olson of Eau Claire and Mark Olson (Judy) of Rock Falls and other family members and friends. Petra was preceded in death by her parents; Sisters Joan Olson, Sheri Cronkite. Brothers George Gilman, Bill Peterson and nephew Tim Peterson.
