Paul Joseph Werlein

Paul Joseph "Pauly Jo" Werlein, age 63 of Mondovi, WI passed away at his home on September 28, 2023.  He was born on February 21, 1960 to Paul and Isabelle (Brantner) Werlein.  Pauly Jo always enjoyed anything that had to do with the outdoors.  He was an avid hunter who truly loved being in the woods.  He enjoyed fishing, as well, and also a nice day outside cutting wood. Pauly Jo was a great artist, that would sketch out drawings of almost any type of wildlife.  A storyteller at heart, he could capture the attention of an entire room with his tales of wild adventures and monster bucks.  His exaggerated hand gestures and sound effects always had a way of making people smile and laugh.  He was an old soul with a humble heart that was filled with love for his family and friends, and he always cherished the memories he made with everyone.  He enjoyed the many bow and arrow shoot get togethers, deer camp, watching the Packers, and drinking a few beers with friends.  Pauly Jo is survived by Emma (Steve) Beck, Darlene (Dave) Schober, Ernie (Mary) Werlein, Larry (Ruth) Werlein, Mary (Fuzz) Weberg, Rick (Gina) Werlein, many other relatives, and his loval cat, Teddy.  Pauly Jo was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Margaret, brother Donald, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He will always be remembered for being a good and honest man.  A private family gathering will be held a later date.
