Orrin Grotjahn

Orrin Grotjahn, age 91, of Winona, formerly of rural Alma died on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Winona Health. He was born on October 31, 1926 in the Town of Alma, a son of Alfred and Frances (Gross) Grotjahn. Orrin was married to Phyllis Krug. Together they had four children. Phyllis preceded Orrin in death. Orrin worked for the Town of Belvidere, La Crosse Milling Co. and was a beekeeper and a farmer. Orrin is survived by his wife, Clarice of Winona; children, Connie Grotjahn, Judie (Beryle) Hale, Gene Grotjahn, Kim (Lisa) Grotjahn; grandchildren, Shelly and Robyn; Ashley Grotjahn and Jon Grotjahn; Lance (Heather) Rotering; four great grandchildren; brothers, Ivan, Duane and Lloyd Grotjahn; sister, Gladys Severson; also by nieces and nephews. Besides his Phyllis, Orrin was preceded in death by his grandson, Dustin Grotjahn and a brother, David. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at1:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma with the Rev. Richard Moore, Pastor of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Winona. Burial will follow at Buffalo City Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
