Mike was born on May 31, 1959, in Medford, Wisconsin, to Elmer E. Stellick and Naomi (Wendt) Stellick.
He attended Medford schools and graduated from Medford High School in 1977. Mike had a lifelong passion for motorsports. He built his own racecars while still in high school and competed in drag racing events well into his 30s. He loved snowmobiling, boating, and piloting small aircraft, and passed those interests down by making sure his children and grandchildren were equipped with four-wheelers and dirt bikes.
An entrepreneur, Mike owned and operated a variety of businesses over the years, which involved civil construction contracting, bar ownership, livestock raising, heavy machinery sales and repair, and auto repair. He spent his weekends vacationing and developing his and his family's lake property.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Naomi Stellick.
Mike is survived by his wife, Carolyn Stellick; his children and grandchildren, Matt (Diana) Stellick of Austin, Texas, and their children, Miles and Layne; Emily (Ben) Markowitz of Austin, Texas, and their daughter, Evie and Tom Stellick of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and his children, Jane and Everett; He is also survived by his stepchildren and grandchildren of Mondovi, Wisconsin, Andy (Laken) Helwig and their children, Dawson and Landon Helwig and Amanda Mikesell (Donavon Weiss) and their children, Anna Jarvis, Mason Mikesell, Jayden Mikesell, and Bennett Mikesell; Mike is further survived by his brother, Charlie (Patricia) Stellick, and his niece, Miranda (Jake) Manske.
Carolyn would like to take this opportunity to send a gracious and loving thank you to Lakeland Home Health and the entire staff of St. Croix Hospice and especially her children, Andy and Laken and Amanda and Donavon for all their support given to Mike during this difficult and trying time.
