Melvin A. Passow, age 93, of Fountain City, formerly of Alma, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at St. Michael’s Assisted Living, Fountain City with his loving and devoted family at his side.
He was born on July 26, 1924. He was the son of Ervin, Sr. and Esther (Suhr) Passow.

Many will remember the years that Melvin owned a dairy farm on the Alma bluff, until 1973 when he and his wife moved to Cochrane. Although Melvin may have physically left the farm, his heart always remained. After their new home in Cochrane was surrounded by beautiful flowers and huge garden, Melvin added a greenhouse. When he wasn’t gardening, Melvin enjoyed traveling, sharing slide shows of those travels and playing cards.
Whether Melvin taught you to fish with a bamboo pole or humored you with his quick wit, what he would want you to remember is his most unwavering faith in Christ our Savior.
