Mary Ellen Skroch

Mary Ellen Skroch, age 60, of Mondovi, WI, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on January 3, 1965, in Mondovi, Mary was known for her generous heart, infectious sense of humor, and deep devotion to her family. She worked for many years as a dedicated custodian, where her strong work ethic and friendly spirit made a lasting impact on those around her. But more than anything, Mary was passionate about her role as a mother and grandmother — a title she wore with pride and boundless love.

Mary found joy in life’s simple pleasures: dancing to a good song, finding the perfect item on a shopping trip, and sharing a laugh — often at her own quick-witted joke. She had a tender heart for animals, especially her beloved sheep Tagtail and her dogs Cami and Sassy, and she was never without a furry friend nearby. Her “grandpup” Gracie also held a special place in her heart.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Terry Skroch; her three children, Debbie Suchla, Justin Skroch, and Briana (Darin) Wolfe; and six grandchildren who were the light of her life — KiyZen, Brinley, Deklin, Jordyn, Daxton, and Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Oliver Moyer, and her brothers, Terry and David Moyer.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday June 1, at Talbot Family Funeral Home in Mondovi. A lunch reception will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Buzz’s, where loved ones will gather to celebrate Mary’s life, share memories, and honor the joy she brought into the world.

Mary will be remembered for her laughter, her unwavering love for her family, and her ability to light up a room. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
