Mary Seymour

Mary F. Seymour, age 69, of Pepin, WI formerly of St. Paul, MN passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Pepin Health and Rehab. She was born on October 20, 1948 in Durand, WI a daughter of the late Marshall and Alice (Smith) Thompson. She attended and graduated from Pepin High School with the Class of 1966. Mary then furthered her education at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, graduating in 1970. Soon after graduating, Mary was united in marriage to Marshall W. Seymour in Pepin. Mary taught school in the Durand school district and also worked at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Mary then attended William Mitchell College of Law, graduating in 1979 Cum Laude. She began her career as an attorney with the law firm, Cochrane & Bresnahan, P.A. and later became a partner in the firm. Mary and a fellow Junior Partner at Cochrane and Bresnahan joined together and started Loper and Seymour, P.A. and then in 2003, Mary moved to Pepin to be closer to her mother and opened her own law firm there. Retired on December 31, 2014. Mary is survived by her husband, Marshall of Pepin and her son, Nghia of St. Paul, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at the Pepin Sportsman Club on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00
