Lorelie Blank, age 60, of Buffalo City, passed away peacefully at her home on the evening of June 1, 2020.
She was born on April 18, 1960 in Winona, a daughter to Loyley and the late Dorothy (Fetting) Seifert.
Lorelie attended and graduated from Cochrane-Fountain City High School with the class of 1978,
Lorelie worked on the family farm with her parents for several years before she began working as a summer temp for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lock and Dam 5. Soon, Lorelie would find herself as a full-time lock operator at this same location until her retirement on June 30, 2019.
On January 27, 1989, Lorelie married Donald Blank in Las Vegas, NV. Lorelie was a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Cochrane. She enjoyed many activities, some of which included bowling and attending national bowling tournaments, hunting...especially pheasant hunting, reading her vast collection of history books, but mostly she enjoyed the days traveling with her husband Don. Together they attended several Nascar races and proudly visited 44 states, their favorite being the southern and southwestern United States. She was also known for her "green thumb", love for animals, especially her cats and mostly for her caring and giving heart and her easy going personality. She will be truly missed by those blessed to know her.
Lorelie is survived by her husband, Donald; a step daughter she loved like her own, Vicki (Tony) Broxson; granddaughter, Kylie Broxson; her father, Loyley Seifert and brother Joe (Mary Lou) Seifert all of Buffalo City; also by nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Lorelie was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy and a brother, Charles.
A private family gathering and time to celebrate the life of Lorelie will be held at a later date.
