Kenneth Michael Rindal

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many, Kenneth Michael Rindal, who passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, surrounded by family.

Kenneth was born on July 19, 1953, and attended school in Osseo, Wisconsin, where he excelled in football and developed a lifelong love of the game. In his younger adult years, Kenneth also enjoyed playing baseball with the guys. He remained a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his beloved team. His love of sports continued throughout his life, and he especially enjoyed attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Whether it was football, baseball, volleyball, or any other activity they were involved in, Kenneth was proud to be there supporting them from the sidelines.

Kenneth was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran who served during the final years of the Vietnam War. His time in service shaped the strong sense of duty, resilience, and compassion that he carried throughout his life. Serving in Vietnam made him fearless. He had the heart of a servant, always willing to help anyone in need, and he lived his life taking care of others before himself.

He worked many years in various jobs, starting when he was young. He worked on his Uncle Joe's farm, at a service station, with construction crews, plumbers, electricians, Peters Meats, and more. During this time in his life, he enjoyed playing baseball with his team. Kenneth started at the bottom of the "totem pole" and worked his way up to Hazmat Director at WRR Environmental Services in Eau Claire, WI. He was also an OTR truck driver for Family Farms, Menards, and Curt Christianson Trucking. Kenneth and Linda also owned and operated Klark Trucking. He was known as a true "Mr. Fix It," someone who could build and repair almost anything. He was always willing to lend a hand when help was needed or something needed to be built, fixed, or figured out. He had a wealth of knowledge from his many experiences and always seemed to have a solution for life's problems.

Kenneth was a dedicated hunter safety instructor for 48 years and was just two years away from receiving his 50-year instructor rifle, an achievement he greatly looked forward to. He was passionate about teaching others and sharing his knowledge of the outdoors. He also served as a snowmobile safety and ATV safety instructor for the past three years and became a boater safety instructor this past year. He was also a volunteer firefighter and EMT for several years, continuing his lifelong commitment to serving others. Kenneth was a proud member of the VFW and American Legion for many years.

Kenneth was known for treating many like family and welcoming people into his life as his own. He was a protector at heart and deeply cared for those around him. He was always there when someone needed help, support, or simply someone to listen. Kenneth also had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for making people laugh. Whether it was through a story, a joke, or his quick wit, he had a way of bringing smiles to those around him. He had the best laugh, one that was contagious and could brighten the room. Even during difficult times, he could lighten the mood and remind others not to take life too seriously.

Kenneth loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, which were among his greatest joys. He loved camping with family and friends and spending time out on his boat. Some of his favorite days were spent fishing and enjoying fish fries with those he loved. He cherished time spent with friends over coffee at the Foster Cenex and the Eleva Legion, where stories, laughter, and friendship were shared. As he got older and his health issues from Vietnam worsened, he and Linda spent their winters in Florida, where he enjoyed boating and spending time with close friends.

He found joy in the simple things. He loved feeding hummingbirds and orioles and could often be found watching the many birds that visited his yard. He enjoyed them all except for the blackbirds, which always seemed determined to eat all the orioles' jelly. He also had a special love for owls. He enjoyed calling to them and listening for their response, and he loved teaching his children how to make owl calls, creating memories they will cherish forever. He loved helping Linda with berry picking and gardening.

Kenneth was devoted to his family. He made sure his loved ones were cared for and supported, and his family was the center of his world. His love and presence will continue to live on through the many lives he touched. He is deeply missed by his beloved dogs, Brutus and Sophia, who brought him much companionship and joy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Rindal; his mother, Marion (Sweeney) Rindal; and his sister, Lynette Rindal. He is survived by his wife, Linda Rindal, and their seven children, twenty-two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren include: Adam Rindal of Glencoe, MN, and his children Jesse, Ashley (her daughters Layken and Emberly), Alisha (her sons Waylon and Finley), Adam Jr. (his son Zane), Brighton, Hayden, Tavia, Lillian, Calliope, and Phineas. Gregory (Holly) Rindal of Strum, WI, and their son Jacob Rindal. William (Nicole) Rindal of Strum, WI, and their son Jaxon. Jason (Rachel) Rindal of Eleva, WI, and their children Kaydence and Jaaziah. Scott (Brittney) Rindal of Strum, WI, and their children Ava and Sawyer. Kenny (Skie) Rindal of Altoona, WI, and their children Kenneth Jr. and Brenya. Cheyenne (Jeremy) Ottum of Alma, WI, and their children MaKaria, Eden, Landon, and Brayden. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Kimes of Eau Claire, WI, and his brother, Jeff (Lisa) Rindal of Eleva, WI, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins in both the United States and the United Kingdom.

Though he is no longer with us, Kenneth's legacy will live on in the family he built, the lives he touched, and the memories that we will forever cherish. Kenneth loved his church family, attended faithfully on Sundays wherever he was, and found joy in the men's breakfasts and fellowship. Most importantly, he lived his life with a deep faith in Jesus Christ. His favorite Bible passage was Matthew 6:9-13, The Lord's Prayer, which reflected the faith that guided him throughout his life. May we all help honor the wonderful person he was and find comfort in knowing he is at peace in the presence of the Lord.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, July 7th, at 11:00 AM at Strum Memorial Park, where family and friends will gather in his honor. A luncheon will follow at the Eleva Legion in Eleva, Wisconsin.
