Julie Kay Eide, age 61, of Eleva, passed away on Sunday, Christmas Eve December 24, 2017 at Mayo Health Systems-Oakridge in Osseo the day before the birth of her Lord and Savior and during the season she loved.
She was born on November 25, 1956 in Eau Claire, a daughter of Dorothy Rongstad Anderson and the late Keith Anderson.
Julie attended Eleva-Strum Schools, graduating from Eleva-Strum High School with the class of 1975.
On May 8, 1984, Julie was united in marriage to Clinton Eide at Eleva Lutheran Church. Clinton preceded Julie in death on February 11, 2007.
Julie was employed as a CNA and later was an assistant with the activities department at what is now the American Lutheran Home. The residents would always look forward to seeing her on the days she worked because she always had that way of making them feel special.
Julie was a lifelong member of the Eleva Lutheran Church. She would always volunteer herself to the church whenever called upon.
She will be remembered for her abilities to create Norwegian hardanger, cross stitching, handmade Christmas ornaments and Beautiful sequenced Christmas stockings. Julie would attend craft shows in the fall to sell her lovely creations.
Julie will be forever remembered for her loving and giving heart and always thinking of others before herself.
Julie will be sadly missed her mother, Dorothy Anderson of Eleva; three siblings, Cindy (Mark) Nymo of Rice Lake, Linda (Dennis) Barneson of Strum and Paul (Kathy) Anderson of Hudson, WI; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Chris), Todd (Julie), Sara (Jeremy), Kari (Jake), Bradley (Kelsey), Jon (Sarah), Melissa (Andy), Andrew (Jenique), Brianna (Adam), Emily (Jeff) and Megan (Justin); 27 great nieces and nephews; her special friend, Brock Benson; brother in law, Don Eide, along with many dear friends.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Keith and husband, Clinton.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Eleva Lutheran Church with Pastor Bob Castro officiating. Burial will will be at a later date.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service at the church.
