John Joseph Konetchy

John Joseph Konetchy, 89, died Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Johanna Shores in Arden Hills, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; his brother, George; and his sister, Eleanor. He leaves behind his son, Kevin (Tammy) Konetchy; his granddaughter, Amanda (Ben) Bloomer; and his great-granddaughter, Ashlynn Bloomer. John was born and raised in LaCrosse, WI, the son of John and Mamie (Thesing) Konetchy. He spent most of his adult life as a resident of Cochrane, WI, until moving to Minnesota in 2005. He served his country proudly in both the Air Force and Navy. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with family. He was a longtime member of Christ Victorious Lutheran Church in Chaska, MN. In keeping with his wishes, a private burial will be held at the Buffalo City cemetery in Buffalo City, WI, on April 18. Those wishing to honor his life can make a donation in his name to Christ Victorious Lutheran Church.
