James Roger Beseler

James Roger Beseler “Big Jim”, age 58 of Cochrane, WI passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his home. He was born on August 4, 1955 in Winona to Roger R. and Lois (Grass) Beseler. Jim attended and graduated from Cochrane-Fountain City High School with the class of 1974. Right out of high school, Jim began a 34-year career with Brad Ragan Tire-Wingfoot, LLC as a tire re-treader. Jim enjoyed fishing trips with his friends to destinations such as Canada and Angle Inlet, or just out on the Mississippi River. He also loved to take his annual trip to South Bend, Indiana to take in a Notre Dame Fighting Irish football game. He wouldn’t turn down a good game of Buck Eucre or a game of Texas Hold ‘em. Jim was an avid Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers fan. Jim’s greatest treasure was his family, especially his favorite and only niece and his nephews, always there to take in their special events and give the greatest of “bear hugs”. Many will remember Jim as a grizzly man with a great big heart of gold. Jim will be sadly missed by his parents, Roger and Lois of Cochrane; siblings, Mark (Lori) of Buffalo City, Julie (Mike) Regenscheid of Lino Lakes, MN, Rickie (Jean) of Cochrane, Andrea (Jeff) Lisowski of Buffalo City; his niece, Cassie Beseler; his nephews, Dustin Beseler, Kent and Tyler Regenscheid and Cody and Cale Lisowski; Aunt and Uncle Shirley and Melvin Zastrow of Buffalo City; and by many friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Visitation and celebration of life will be held at the United Church of Christ, Cochrane, Wisconsin on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Marcy Heil. Burial will be at the Buffalo City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Warren Barth, Jim Cieminski, Lee Farner and Kenneth Zastrow. Honorary pallbearers will be his niece and nephews.
