James Lee Anderson

James “Pinky” Anderson, 74, of Mondovi passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire, WI on March 20, 2024.

Jim was born December 12, 1949 in Mondovi to Joseph and Lillian (Severson) Anderson.  He married Kathy Strand on January 16, 1971 and to this union, four children were born.  They later divorced.  He then married Patricia (Moses) Trip on March 27, 1982.  

Jim was a simple man that spent his entire life farming.  He helped his parents on their family farm and then took over the farm when his dad died in 1971. Hard work, integrity, honesty and faith, were the core values in his life.   He loved his international tractors and his farm animals.  He was also the keeper of any stray dog that was dropped off in the Naples Township.  Jim was passionate about his family, his farm, hunting, fishing and Wisconsin sports.  Jim took care of the Naples Cemetery, often donating his time and gas to make sure the cemetery looked perfect.  During his retirement, Jim was known to feed the town of Mondovi with his garden produce and shared with any friends who would accept the goods.  He took great pride in his gardening; watering many mornings by 6 am.

Survivors include his children, Joseph (Heather) Anderson of Plover, Melissa (Michael) Kreibich of Mondovi, grandchildren Cheyanne & Dakota Luther and Lillianna & Whitney Kreibich.  

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; spouse Patricia, infant brother Richard Allen, infant son Michael Jon and son Richard “Dickie” Anderson.  

A memorial gathering will be at Central Lutheran Church on Monday March 25 at 1:00PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM.  A private burial will be held at a later date at Naples Cemetery.
