Inez M. Burmeister

Inez M. Burmeister, age 90, of Buffalo City, WI passed away peacefully with her husband and family at her side at Lake Winona Manor. She was born on October 31, 1925 in the Town of Modena, Buffalo County, WI a daughter of the late Herman and Louisa (Probst) Wenger. On November 20, 1947 Inez was united in marriage to Clifford M. Inez was a longtime and faithful member of Dr. Martin Luther Church in Buffalo City where she would help serve with the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the helping hands homemakers club. Inez enjoyed fishing and growing vegetables in her garden then canning those vegetables in the fall. One of her greatest enjoyments was time spent camping as a family and later traveling to several far away destinations, like the trip with her husband to Hawaii. Inez was the true meaning and the epitome of a loving wife and mom and was one of the most loving grandma’s and great grandma’s. Her legacy of love, care and compassion will remain in the hearts of all. Inez will be sadly missed by her husband of the past 68 years, Cliff of Buffalo City; her 4 sons, Steven (Julie), Bruce (Carol), Brian (Tammy) all of Buffalo City and Terry (Sue) Shafer of Indian Creek, WI; grandchildren, Mindy (Matt) Ward, Mickey (Jenny) Burmeister, Kipp Hulquist, Kelly (significant other, Tim) Kropelin, Scott (Marcy) Shafer, Ashley (Corey) Byas, and Jena (significant other, Chris) Burmeister; great grandchildren, Madison, Mylee, Maci, Landon, Sawyer, Kinley, Brandon, Ben, Kristin, Tyler, Alec, Zak and Gavin; her brother, Roger (Karen) Wenger of Janesville, WI; sister in law, Grace Heinemann and brother in law Roger Burmeister both of Buffalo City. Besides her parents, Inez was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara and Mabel. A funeral service for Inez will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, Cochrane with Pastor Mark Wilde officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo City Cemetery.
