Glenda M. Busch

Glenda Margaret Busch, of Mondovi, passed away June 20, 2026 at the American Lutheran Home in Mondovi, Wisconsin while under the care of St. Croix Hospice surrounded by the love of her devoted husband, Mark, and sister, Bev.

Glenda was born April 19, 1951, in Mondovi, Wisconsin to Leo and Mary (Poeschel) Risler. She graduated with the Mondovi High School Class of 1969.

Her life was one of deep love, quiet strength and enduring beauty. On May 19, 1973, she married Mark Busch at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mondovi. Mark and Glenda were blessed with two children, Kevin and Heidi.

Glenda was devoted to the Mondovi community where she worked and served others in various capacities. She spent nearly 25 years at Mondovi Implement, followed by approximately 20 years as an Administrative Assistant to the City of Mondovi. She was known for her kindness, reliability and genuine care for the city’s residents.

Glenda served not only community businesses, but she truly cared for others and gave of herself by working at Gehrke’s Floral and volunteering at Hope Gospel. Her faith was of the quiet foundation of her life, and she was a devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She faithfully ran the Fall Fest dinner, served funeral lunches, and supported fellowship gatherings after mass. Her warm heart and smile often met parishioners as she greeted them at the entrance of the church.

Serving others was a passion for Glenda. Her love of baking led her to baking treats for many community and family events. She shared her time and talents generously with organizations such as Friends of the Library and the Garden Club, and supported causes that were of importance to her and her family, including the Assumption Catholic School Phy Ed program. Though she was not a member of the Lions Club, Glenda devoted time to assisting them at the Buffalo County Fair.

Aside from baking and serving others, Glenda loved planting flower gardens with her daughter, Heidi, and cherished special trips to the family farm to care for both the vegetable and flower gardens. She also took great pride in caring for her grand dog, Carlos, who remained a loyal companion by her side.

Above all, Glenda was always a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She gave selflessly of herself, including many countless hours spent caring for her parents. She was a steadfast supporter of her grandsons, never missing an athletic event. Even when times were difficult, Glenda’s determination propelled her to win her battle against Stage 4 Lymphoma.

Glenda will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Mark; her children, Kevin (Wendy) Busch and Heidi (Andy) Michels; her grandsons, Jaxon Busch and Landry Busch; her grand dog, Carlos; her sister Bev (Lee Brantner) Deutscher; her brothers, Ronnie Risler, Gary Risler, and Loren Risler; and her brother in law, David (Tessi) Busch; along with many special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Glenda was preceded in death by; parents, Leo and Mary Risler; her brother, Arnold Risler, her brother-in-law, David Deutscher; her sisters-in-law, Judy Risler, Marlene Risler, and Valerie Risler; mother-and-father-in-law, Orville and Marcella Busch.
