George Lloyd Ewing, age 91, formerly of Fountain City, died at his home in Cochrane Saturday, January 30, 2021. He was born July 9, 1929 in Town of Sylvan, Richland County, Wisconsin; the 11th child of Omer and Bernice Ewing. George married the love of his life, Barbara Jean Kulas, on on July 25, 1950 in Alma, Wisconsin. They were blessed with six children: Rita, Mark, Kathy, Marlene, Jerry and Jim. Hunting, fishing, ice fishing and mowing the grass were favorite pastimes. After retiring from Badger you could find George helping out family and friends, going on long drives with Barb to look for deer, listening to country music, sitting on his patio watching the birds and squirrels and visiting with anyone who stopped by. He was the best storyteller, ever. He will be forever missed by his wife of 70 years, his six children and their spouses, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, his nieces and nephews and countless friends. Preceded in death by his parents, twelve siblings and beloved grandchildren Jessie and Lucas. A Private family service will be at Talbot Family Funeral home In Cochrane. A celebration of life will be held in the summer, followed by inurnment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fountain City.
