Duwayne Wilson Livingston January 11, 1944 – June 6, 2025

Duwayne Wilson Livingston was reunited with his Creator on June 6, 2025. He was born on January 11, 1944, to Wilson “Pat” Livingston and Beatrice Rageth in Durand, Wisconsin. Duwayne was raised in the Pepin/Arkansas area, where he cherished growing up surrounded by his large and loving family.

A man who found peace in nature, Duwayne loved to spend his time hunting and fishing. The outdoors brought him solace and joy throughout his life.

Duwayne proudly and honorably served his country. He was stationed in Germany from 1963 to 1966, and later in Thailand from 1969 to 1973. His second tour of duty was a selfless act of faith and courage, made with a compact with God to protect his brothers who were also serving at the time.

While in Thailand, Duwayne married Diana, and to this union one son was born. After returning to the States, Duwayne married Toni Kremer and had another son, Scott. Following his marriage to Toni, Duwayne married Marla McMahon in 1979. Three children were born to this couple: Holly, Shannon, and Joe.

Duwayne had a natural talent for invention and problem-solving. He continued to design and create various tools and apparatuses as needed. His skills and dedication were highly valued at his places of employment, which included Tiffany Lumber Co., Barko Hydraulics, DL Electric, Ashley Furniture, and several other manufacturing companies. After retiring from Ashley Furniture, Duwayne continued logging with his son at Livingston Land Management. He was very proud of his logging career, and his family documented his last tree fall at the age of 75 years old.

Duwayne is survived by his children: Scott (Wendy) Livingston of Surprise, AZ; Joe (Christy) Livingston of Vienna, IL; and Holly (Terry) Papenfus of Nelson, WI. He is also survived by his brothers Mike Livingston of Durand, WI, and Larry (Kathy) Livingston of Solon Springs, WI; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Jim, Bob, and David; sisters Gladys and Betty; his daughter Shannon Livingston-Mock; his wife Diana; and an infant son.

Duwayne will be remembered for his strength, devotion to family, and deep love of nature.

A memorial service will be held at Talbot Family Funeral Homes – Alma Chapel on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until Noon, with a service to follow. Duwayne will be laid to rest on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI, with full Military Rites.
