Donna Seltrecht

Donna Rae Seltrecht, age 91, of Gilmanton, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Care Partners in Altoona with her loving family at her side.

She was born on October 10, 1934, to the late Frank and Neva (Benedict) Lulloff in the Town of York, Clark County, WI.Donna attended and graduated from Loyal High School.

On April 2, 1953, Donna was united in marriage to Robert Seltrecht in Dubuque, IA. To this union 5 children were born. Robert preceded Donna in death on Christmas day of 1997. 

After living in River Falls for 4 years, Donna and her husband moved to the Gilmanton area in 1958, when they purchased a farm in Dover Township, which they worked together side by side until retiring in the mid 1990’s.

Donna was a longtime and faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Gilmanton, where she served on the Dorcas Society and Altar Guild. She also would volunteer in the agriculture room during the Gilmanton Free Fair and was active in the Dover Township election board. Donna was a Happy go Lucky 4-H leader for many years and proudly taught the craft of crocheting, through the vo tec extension program, at Gilmanton High School.She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and the Wisconsin Badgers, loved birdwatching and growing houseplants that she would provide to the church for their annual Trinity thrift sale.

Donna will be remembered for how she dedicated her life to caring for her husband and family. She was a quiet lady that found great enjoyment just staying home spending time with her grandchildren. 

Donna will be sadly missed by her daughters, Lynette (Dale) Winsand and Maria “Polly” Spelbring; daughter in law, Pam Seltrect; grandchildren, Jason (Carrie) Duranceau, Scott (Tami) Duranceau, Samantha Seltrecht, Vincent Seltrecht and Jennica (Jordan Kleinschmidt) Hacker; great grandchildren, Lucas, Eli, Jacob, Hailee, Justin and Matilyn; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Bob, Donna was preceded in death by her three sons, James, Daniel and Bennett; and two brothers, William and Robert. 

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Talbot Family Funeral Home, Mondovi chapel, with Gary Preston, S.A.M. officiating.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Graveside services for Donna will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Sherwood Cemetery, in the Town of Sherwood, Clark County, Wisconsin.
