Donald Emmert Mann, age 91, of Alma, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse.
He was born on the family farm in the Town of Belvidere on July 16, 1932, the son of the late Emmert and Florence Mann.
Donald attended Herold Elementary School until the 8th grade. He then attended and graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1950.
Donald served his country in the United States Army during 1955 and 1956.
On May 23, 1959, Donald was united in marriage to Jurdis Alice Hagen at Modena Lutheran Church. To this union, five children were born.
Donald worked for Tri State Breeders until the retirement of his parents in 1971. Donald purchased the family farm, the same far that he grew up on, proudly making it a 3rd generation farm.
Donald was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Alma.
He enjoyed his orange Allis-Chalmers tractors, Honda Motorcycles and VW Bugs and truly enjoyed traveling with his wife to many different destinations throughout the United States.
Donald is survived by his wife, Jurdis; children, Valerie (Tom) Runions, Eric (Kaylene) Mann and Joel (Brookly) Mann; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Dale (Sharon) Mann
and Virginia (Charles) Vaughan; daughter in law, Patty Tate Mann; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his son, Steve Mann, Steve's wife Lisa. Son, Bryan Mann. Granddaughter, Erin (Runions) Loechler.
A memorial gathering for family and friends to celebrate the life of Donald will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Alma, WI on Sunday, April 21st, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM
