Dolores T. Hansen

Dolores T. Hansen, age 85, of Cochrane, passed away peacefully on with her family at her bedside at St. Michael’s Assisted Living in Fountain City, WI, Monday, January 2, 2017, 9 years to the day after the passing of her husband, Dale. She was born on October 6, 1931 at the home the second of four children of her parents, the late Frank and Helen (Bath) Sutter. Dolores attended St. Mary’s grade school and later graduated from Fountain City High School. On August 29, 1950, Dolores was united in marriage to Dale F. Hansen at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fountain City. To this union, three children were born Dolores worked at Cochrane-Fountain City school district helping provide lunches for all the grade school and high school students, a career that spanned for at least 25 years, retiring in 1990. Dolores and her family were long time parishioners of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Alma, WI. Dolores enjoyed going to watch her son, Tom played in the Country Poor Boy’s band. She and her husband also enjoyed traveling to many different locations throughout the United States. Dolores will be remembered for her love of a good day of BINGO or even being able to scratch off an occasional “lotto ticket”. Dolores will long be remembered for her love of faith and family, especially the love she had for her grandchildren. Dolores will be sadly missed by her children, Jeffrey Hansen of Buffalo City, Thomas (Deb) Hansen of Cochrane and Rebecca (Gordy) Stanton of Cochrane; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale; siblings, Ducy, Kenny and Bill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Alma with Fr. Brian Jazdzewski as Celebrant.
