In Loving Memory of Debra Kay Coppage
01/19/1954 – 11/03/2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Debra Kay Coppage, who passed away on 11/03/2026 at the age of 72, surrounded by her mother Evon, husband Jim, son Quintin, daughter Macie, and many more family members.
Born on 01/19/1954 in Mondovi, Debra was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who’s life was defined by her kindness, strength, generosity, sense of humor, faith, devotion to family, and endless optimism.
Throughout her life, Debra found joy in cheering on her children, grandchildren, and relatives at various sports; cooking and baking with her loved ones; and spending time with family and friends. She loved seeing the people around her smile and laugh! Wherever she was, she had a way of making the people around her feel loved, welcomed, supported, happy, and so much more.
Above all else, family was at the center of Debra’s world. She is survived by her Mother Evon Moy, Husband James of 42 years, children Quintin (and special friend Jessica Lot) and Macie Coppage. Grandchildren: Hallie Kay (named in memory of Deb and Deb’s father), Bentley & Easton Stambaugh, Arria and Emma Swager. Siblings: Steve (Diane) Moy, Randy (Dawn) Moy, Brenda (Greg) Wallace, several nieces and nephews, and countless relatives and friends whose lives were made better by knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her father, Allan Moy.
Throughout her working years, Debra was fortunate to be part of two workplaces she truly loved, American Family Insurance and Half Moon Education Inc. Both held a special place in her heart. She genuinely enjoyed the relationships she built with coworkers, customers, and everyone she had the opportunity to meet. For Debra, it was never just about going to work; it was about the people, the conversations, the friendships, and the joy of being part of something meaningful.
Those who knew Deb will remember her for her passion and love for her family, her ability to see the good in everyone, her beaming positivity that would make everyone in the room happy to talk to her. She knew what to say at all the right times, and was, and will forever be the glue of our family. Her love, lessons, and memories will live on through the family she cherished and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that the love she gave us will never leave us. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held on 12/5/2026 at The Legion Hall in Gilmanton, WI between 12-3 pm (light luncheon will be served).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations, charitable contributions, or other wishes, if applicable.
Forever in our hearts.
