David R. Pientok

David Richard Pientok, age 84, of Chippewa Falls, WI passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Mayo Health System in Osseo, WI following prolonged medical issues. David was born on October 25, 1940 in Independence, WI to John and Dorothy (Kampa) Pientok. David attended Independence Schools and graduated with the class of 1958. On May 13, 1961, David was united in marriage to Rosemary Smick. To this union, two children, Douglas and Natalie, were born.

David and his family resided in Kenosha while he was employed at American Motors/Chrysler. After 30 years in Kenosha, David and Rosemary moved back to the area where they were born and raised. David enjoyed outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, and vegetable gardening. Many cucumbers were grown and pickled through his years! He had a love for cars and owned many throughout his life. David enjoyed watching sports, playing cards with buddies, visiting casinos, watching hummingbirds at his feeders, and simply enjoyed being with family and friends. His family extended well beyond his immediate family. Having a beer, sharing stories, reminiscing, and having a good laugh were among his favorite things to do! He was affectionately called Mr. P and Grandpa P by those who knew and loved him. David was beloved by many and will be missed by all those blessed to have known him. David will be sadly missed by his wife, Rosemary, of 64 years; son, Douglas Pientok of Sun City West, AZ; daughter, Natalie (John) May of Greeneville, TN; two granddaughters, Abigail May of Charleston, SC and Amanda May (fiancé AJ Andolino) of Milwaukee, WI; great granddaughter, Magnolia May Fisher; brother, John (Grace) Pientok of Altoona, WI; and by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Pientok. A celebration of life and service will be held at Talbot Family Funeral Home in Mondovi, WI on Saturday July 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be on Sunday July 27, 2025 at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Independence, WI. www.talbotfuneralhomes.com
