David Peter Brommer

David Peter Brommer, age 52, of Nelson, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Wabasha with his loving family at his side. Dave was born on June 13, 1967 in Wabasha to Emily (Hammer) Brommer and the late Glenn Brommer and raised in the tiny little town of Nelson. *** He attended Alma Area Schools, graduating with the class of 1985. On July 31, 1993, Dave was united in marriage to Bobbi Rieck. Together, they welcomed three daughters into their lives. After a short stint in the United States Navy, Dave had a laundry list of jobs, some of which were sandblasting, painting, cement work, the flour plant in Wabasha and at Federal Mogul where he was currently employed. He always was happy to be working alongside awesome co-workers. Dave bartended at several different bars in the area, where made many friends and a beautiful young girl, Bobbi Jo Rieck, his future wife. Dave enjoyed playing softball, beanbags, shooting pool or just being outdoors grilling, fishing or hunting with his brothers. His greatest passion for the outdoors was during the winter, where you would find him ice fishing. Dave will be remembered for his quick witted sense of humor, kind heart with a willingness to give to others before himself. These are just a few of the many attributes and memories that will long live in the hearts of his family and friends, especially his daughters and his precious little granddaughter. Dave will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Stephanie (Paul) Noll and Courtney (Kristin) Brommer; granddaughter, Elsa Noll; his mother, Emily Brommer; siblings, Randy (Kim) Brommer, Bruce (Kelly) Brommer, Sue (Kurt) Kraehnke, Pete Brommer and Heidi (Eric) Baader; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Glenn and by his daughter, Ashley who passed on October 22, 2001. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel with Pastor Michael Vetsch officiating. Burial will be at Lyster Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
