Dale Edward Schlink

Dale Edward Schlink, born on February 17, 1958, to Paul and Dorothy (Brantner) Schlink passed away peacefully at his home on January 9, 2026.

Dale graduated from Lewiston High School in Lewiston, MN, and spent many years as an automobile mechanic, working at Lewiston Auto and previously at Walz Buick. He later transitioned to the maintenance department in Wabasha for SEMMCHRA, where he continued to contribute his skills and dedication.

On July 28, 2008, Dale married Rebecca Walters, they later separated in October of 2022, yet they remained close friends.

Dale had a deep love for dogs, and he enjoyed woodworking and spending time outdoors. His passions reflected his kind-hearted nature and love for the simple pleasures in life.

He is survived by Becky Walters; stepdaughter Deidre "DeDe" (Kris) Christensen; stepsons Ryan Walters and Shawn Will. Dale also leaves behind seven step-grandchildren; his brother Bob (Cindy) Schlink; and sister Carol (Chris) Prondzinski; along with his brother-in-law Frank Swain. He is remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joan Swain, and his faithful companion Rocco. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Per Dale’s wishes, there will be no formal services.
