Clive Edward Pace

Clive Edward Pace, 70, of Alma, WI passed away on March 15, 2023 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.

He was born in 1952, the eldest Son to William Frederick and Madge Pace in Shabani, South Rhodesia which is now Zimbabwe, Africa. He was of British Colonial heritage. Clive graduated college at 16 years old and joined the RAF Air Force and National Service, leaving in his 7th year as Sergeant. During the Bush war in Rhodesia he was ensconced to the Army as one of only four paramedics in the country on the off months; which he was in competitions for Ballroom Dancing and won several Championships in his country.

After his time in the military, Clive collected an impressive repertoire of careers throughout the years; he worked alongside his father in his greatest passion of carving and creating rifles, brass oxen wagons, cannons; which became Paceart. He owned his custom jewelry warehouse, until his country was lost to the Communist, he moved his former family to England and worked for The Tax Department, then worked in Germany, and then in America in California, where his former family parted ways.

He and his wife Yolanda moved to Nevada in 1999, in 2006 he became a U.S. Citizen. He worked as a CPA/ Tax Consultant in Las Vegas, NV; where he owned his tax company TaxVantage LLC/Guiding Light Tax Consulting. He and Yolanda moved to Wisconsin and opened a tax service in 2017 in Alma, changing it to “Guns N’ Taxes” to help the community with both taxes and his hobby of repairing/carving gun stocks/ and the needs of hunters. He found contentment and was much ensconced within the community, made many new friends and clients, enjoying his children and grandchildren, his love of fishing and being close to the river and countryside. He was truly a man of many talents and wisdom.

Clive met and married the love of his life in 1995, Yolanda, from Oahu, Hawaii. They spent 28 beautiful years together, 7 of which they resided in Alma, WI. Yolanda stated, “We were two souls entwined with the vines of roses that embraced our hearts as one. Separated by his journey home with our Father, who I sorely miss and heartbroken until we embrace once again for eternity. You will always be my darling husband forever Clive, my Shumba.” (Shona for Lion).
