Cheryl Ann Benusa, age 74, of Buffalo City, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at her home.
She was born on August 1, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Frederick and Dorothy (Engbring) Meier.
Cheryl was a loving mother and grandmother with a passion for quilting. She donated many of her quilts to both national and local nonprofit organizations, and made quilted hats for women battling cancer. In 2017, she founded a local Quilts of Valor chapter called the Burlington Quilts of Valor Project, which provides quilts to Buffalo County Veterans as a gift for their service. Besides her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her sister, Janie Meier.
A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Cheryl will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma with Deacon Ed Wendt officiating. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
In lieu of flowers, any memorials to Cheryl will be sent by the family to the Burlington Quilts of Valor Project in Cheryl’s name.
