Beverly L. Ward

Beverly L. Ward, age 94 of Mondovi, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at the American Lutheran Home, Mondovi. She was born on August 16, 1925 in Eau Claire, the daughter of Harrison and Julia (Parsons) Griese. Beverly graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School. She married Douglas Ward, they were later divorced. She was employed at the First National Bank of Mondovi for 5 years and at Mondovi High School as a school secretary for 20 years. Beverly loved playing golf, bowling, playing bridge and 500, knitting, crocheting, counted cross-stitch, flower gardening and was an avid reader. She was a member of the Mondovi Public Library for 14 years and a charter member of the Friends of the Mondovi Public Library for many years. Beverly also belonged to a birthday club in Eau Claire for several years and a bridge club member for over 45 years in Mondovi. Beverly loved visiting family members, especially her grandchildren who brought her great joy throughout the years. Beverly is survived by her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Ward of Ham Lake, MN; sister, Shirley Hass of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren, Rachael (Dan) McKeown, Conrad and Taylor Ward of Ham Lake, MN; great-grandson, Kieran age, 3 1/2 and great-granddaughter Maeve, 7 months; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Jon at the tender age of 13 and William at age 57; brothers-in-law, Werner Hass and Marshall Ward and sisters-in-law, Bonnie Everson and Vonita Ward. A memorial service will be held at Talbot Family Funeral Homes, Mondovi Chapel on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 am with Chaplain Gary Preston officiating. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the service. Private family burial will be held at Oak Park Cemetery.
