These qualities were reflected in the way she raised her children and touched the lives of so many people throughout her life.

She was also an amazing cook and baker, with a special talent for Norwegian delicacies such as rosettes, krumkake, lutefisk and lefse. Sweets held a special place in Betty’s heart, and she was always ready to share her homemade graham cracker pies and always other goodies with family and visitors. One of her favorite treats was a special delivery of a Mc T’s chocolate malt, often brought to her by her family.

In her younger years, Betty enjoyed camping, playing piano, and listening to music of all kinds. She loved spending time with friends bowling, golfing and playing cards. She was a faithful and caring friend to all. She remained active in the community throughout life as a member of Central Lutheran Church and ladies organizations, Americal Legion Post 154, the Live Wire Group, and the Red Hats.
