Barbara Ann Kamrowski, age 65 a longtime resident of Alma, WI now of Winona died on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI.
She was born on April 3, 1950, in Whitehall, WI a daughter of the late Hubert and Marcella (Pampuch) Kokott.
Barbara attended Arcadia Schools where she graduated from Arcadia High School with the Class of 1969.
On July 15, 1972, Barbara was united in marriage to Christopher Kamrowski at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in North Creek, WI.
Barbara was a longtime employee of Watlow in Winona, a career spanning from the mid 70’s until her retirement in 2009.
She was a faithful member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Alma, WI and was an active member of the PCCW. Barbara will be remembered as a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking, especially her Christmastime cookies. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will fill the hearts of many, specifically her nieces and nephews.
Barbara will be sadly missed by her husband of 43 years, Chris, of Winona; her sister, Betty (William) Engel of Buffalo City; her brother, Peter J. Kokott of Arcadia; sisters in law, Charlotte (Tom) Ross of Fountain City, Patricia (John) Starkey of the Woodlands, TX, Marilyn Sousa of Littleton, CO; brothers in law, Paul (Sue) Kamrowski of Aurora, MO and Leon (Lucy) of Holmen, WI; also by her very special nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
Preceding Barbara in death were her parents and infant sister, Katherine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Alma. Burial will be in the spring at Buffalo City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma Chapel and again on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the hour of the Mass.
