Robert John “Bob” Holubar September 11, 1955 – January 11, 2014 Bob Holubar, 58, of Pepin, WI passed away at Plum City Care Center on January 11, 2014 of bone cancer. Bob was born in Winona, MN to James G. and Delores M. “Berg” Holubar. On April 2, 1976 he was united in marriage to Connie M. Gross. They lived together in Minneapolis, MN before relocating to Buffalo City in 1995. Connie has been his rock through two cancer surgeries and triple bypass surgery. She has been by his side, loving and caring for him though it all. Bob enjoyed bow hunting for deer and had fond memories of fishing and hunting with his late brother Bill. Bob worked in the sign industry for many years and was the Vice President of the Local 880 union for three years. Bob was employed at Hearth & Home Technologies in Lake City, MN for the last 10 years. Bob is survived by his wife, Connie, daughter Sara Winters of Rockford, MN, son Nicholas Holubar of Brooklyn Center, MN, three Grandsons, Keeley, Brannon, and Devin, his mother Delores Irmsher, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his grandfather, William F. Holubar, father, James Holubar, and brother, William J. Holubar. The family would like to thank the staff at Plum City Care Center for their care and comfort during Bob’s last months. Thank you also to Fr. Kulas for officiating the service. Funeral services will be held at Talbot Family Funeral Home, Alma, WI on Saturday January 18 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin one hour before the service. Burial will be at the Alma Public Cemetery, Alma, WI at a later date.
