Patricia P. Hund

Patricia A. “Pat” Hund, age 85 of Cochrane, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Mayo Health System in La Crosse. She was born on March 17, 1934 the daughter of the late Bernard and Della (Sikorski) Mertes. On September 30, 1952 Pat was united in marriage to Peter Hund, Sr. and to this union, nine children were born. Peter preceded Pat in death on June 10, 1991. She was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fountain city and was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Pat enjoyed playing bingo, cards, baking with her peach pies being one of the family favorites. What Pat will be forever remembered for is the love and devotion she had for her entire family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of many. Pat will be sadly missed by her children, Steve of Buffalo City, Pete, Jr. (Sue) of Fountain City, Linda (Pudge) of Winona, Daniel (Wendy) of Winona, Joan (Joe) of Fountain City, Karen (Paul) of Winona, Sharon of Winona and Mary of Winona; 24 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Florence Kupietz of Pine Creek, WI; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, Sr.; son Allen; one brother and four sisters. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Talbot Family Funeral Home, Cochrane Chapel. A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service all at the funeral home. Patricia’s family would like to take this opportunity to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at Marinuka Manor for the loving and compassionate care given to her during her stay.
