Marion G. Lunderville, age 86, of Mondovi, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Chippewa Valley Hospital, Durand, WI. She was born on December 13, 1927 in Gilmanton, to George and Mabel (Amundson) Julson. On April 7, 1951 Marion was united in marriage to John H. Lunderville in Stillwater, MN and to this union five children were born. Earlier in her adult life, Marion worked with Dr. Gillette and also John Berg as a Pharmacy Assistant. Marion’s career as a Nurses Aid began at the Buffalo Memorial Hospital and then to the Manor Nursing Home. She retired after 23 years of service. Marion was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 21 years. Following her retirement, Marion and her husband enjoyed traveling to different parts of the United States. A highlight in Marion’s life was when she and John vacationed in Hawaii to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. She also enjoyed spending time at their trailer located on the Mississippi River, south of Alma at the Great River Harbor. Marion’s family will remember her for her wonderful abilities at needle point, ceramics, sewing and quilting. Her joy was making quilts for her family most of which are still cherished by them today. Marion will long be remembered for the love she had for her husband, John; her children and mostly the love she had for her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 62 years, John, of Mondovi; her children, Greg (Mari) of Mondovi, Mark (Julie) of Nelson, Kay (Jon) Granger of Eau Claire, Karen (Calvin) Brantner of Mondovi and Karol (Jim) Creaser of Menomonie; six grandchildren, Kari (Josh) Sandberg, Krista (Jamie) Cooke, Kassondra (Kevin) Bryant, Kenny Creaser, Klarice Bauer and Korrina Bauer; great grandchildren, Emma and Quin Sandberg, Jaxon, Hati Belle and Oliver Cooke, Tristan and Gideon Bryant and Kingston Creaser; also by other relatives and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her parents and brother James Julson. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29 at 1:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Mondovi chapel, with Pastor Rolf Morck officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Lutheran Cemetery, Mondovi. Visitation will be held also on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
