Glen Joseph Duren

Glenn Joseph Duren, 80, of Sulphur, LA , formerly of Alma, WI died on, September 6, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Glenn was born July 16, 1934 in Saint Paul, Minnesota to Albert and Alma Duren. Glenn was a very generous man with love and compassion. Glenn worked for The Army Corps of Engineers for over 30 years. He had a love for country and western music, playing cards, and being the life of the party. He is survived by his loving companion, Ms. Ethel Dronette of Sulphur, LA; one son, John Glenn Duren; three step-daughters; and numerous people on his life’s path. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Pamela Duren; one son, David Joseph Duren; wife, Phyllis Duren; one step-son. Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be the from 11:00 PM until 1:00 PM Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home with a rosary at 12:00 PM. Rev. Theron Watson will officiate services. A visitation and service will be at Talbot Family Funeral Homes in Alma, WI on Thursday September 18 at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at Alma Public Cemetery.
