Clarence "Cutz" Benjamin Schollmeier, age 81 of Alma, WI passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2015 at Mayo Health System, La Crosse, WI. He was born on June 13, 1933 in Fountain City. A son of the late Frank and Cora (Wolfe) Schollmeier. Cutz was a graduate of Fountain City High School with the class of 1951. He then attended the Winona Business College for one year. On July 19, 1955 Clarence was united in marriage to Elizabeth Lieberenz at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Alma. To this union, three children were born. Clarence, with honor, served our country as a member of the United States Army. Clarence was a longtime employee at Buffalo Electric retiring as a lineman. Clarence was a member of the Alma American Legion, Post #224 and was a past member of the Alma Lion's Club. He will long be remembered for his exquisite woodworking abilities and his dollhouses, which will be treasured by all those blessed to have received one. Clarence right up to the end, found great enjoyment spending time with his friends. Clarence will be deeply missed by his wife, Liz of Alma; children, Joel and his special love, Melissa and Jennifer and her husband Kevin Lisowski of Arcadia; grandchildren, Tony (Anne) Schollmeier, Kayla (Ryan) Greske, Jessica (Jamie) LaBrec and Shelly (Jake) Sales; great grandchildren, Gibson and Salem LaBrec; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday May 4, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church Rev. Brian J. Jazdzewski as Celebrant. Inurnment will be at Alma Memorial Cemetery on Cutz'z birthday, June 13, 2015. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, March 3 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Talbot Family funeral Homes, Alma Chapel and again at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 until the hour of the mass. Following the fellowship at the church, friends and family are asked to attend Tater's Dam View at 1:30 for a special toast and celebration honoring the life of Cutz . www.talbotfuneralhomes.com
