Jerome “Jerry” Andrew Boos, age 77 of Mondovi, WI passed away with his loving wife and family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Jerome was born November 25, 1936 in Chippewa Falls, WI to Leopold and Mildred (Benish) Boos. Jerome honorably served in the U. S. Army from 1955 to 1957. On July 26, 1958 Jerome was united in marriage to Eva Price at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. Jerome and Eva were blessed with 8 boys. Jerome was a proud Union Steamfitter Local 434, formerly Local 385. Jerome moved his family to current homestead in Town of Albany, Pepin County in 1970 where he farmed for many years. Jerome was a member of the American Legion Post 224 in Mondovi. Jerome enjoyed many years hunting and fishing. His favorite past times included playing cards with friends and family, and bowling. In the later years Jerome and Eva would often take trips to the area casinos. Jerome’s outgoing personality enabled him to have a conversation with just about anyone he met, he enjoyed just talking with people. He would often go out of his way to lend a helping hand if needed. Jerome had a very humane heart, loving his cats and dogs. First and foremost he cherished his family, enjoying time spent with his grandchildren. Jerome will be sadly missed by his wife Eva, his sons Corey (Sharon) of Mondovi, Peter (Lori) of Arcadia, Tim of Mondovi, Russell of Mondovi, Gordon (Rochelle) of Menomonie, Curtis (Cindy) of Ettrick, Dan (Karina) of Mayer, MN, and Aaron (Melissa) of Mondovi. His grandchildren Carley, Caleb, Kyle, Cortni, Hannah, Brandon, Ryan, Zack, Brianna, and Erik. His step grandchildren Steve, Jill and Scott; his step great grandchildren Trever, Jocelyn, Zoe, and Stone; step great great grandchildren Ayden and Coen. His brothers Bernard (Shirley) and Lawrence (Doris); his sister Cecelia Zwiefelhofer; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents and brother in law Clifford Zwiefelhofer. A visitation will be at Talbot Family Funeral Homes in Mondovi on Tuesday April 15 at 4:00PM to 8:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mondovi with Father Eric Linzmaier on Wednesday April 16 at 11:00AM with an hour of visitation prior.
